openSUSE

openSUSE went live, and it looks really good.

I went to a presentation for business partners at Novell two weeks ago, and the company seems to really ‘get’ open source. I think this is a very smart move of their part.

Wanting to download the stuff, I noticed they didn’t really have much mirrors yet, and the torrent was really slow as (h/w)ell.
So I started a mirror until the ‘big’ mirrors (ibiblio, sourceforge et al.) pick it up.

Enjoy http://www.linu.cx/mirrors/opensuse/!

Update: 100 Gb of traffic and one slashdotting later, I’ve closed the mirror to protect my box. Novell has got its own mirrors up, and the torrent should be faster right now.
